And went hand to hand with anti spiral

Don’t compare him to that

Well

And beat depression 😎

If i hear one more person say "mommy/daddy" issues as a criticism when in real life that shit is detrimental to peoples cognition, I'm gonna start punching children

# FRAHD

That’s definitely dumb when people attack characters for that

It’s compelling and relatable to a lot of people.

Much more so than like whole clan was slaughtered or some other trope

I still find those compelling, but not as realistic.

I think people that say "mommy/daddy issues" don't understand a thing about trauma and are privileged in a way.

Could also be projecting bitterness

I have a good relationship with my folks but, Dad had a bad Dad, Mom had a bad Mom- that shit stays with you man

It really does

Yeah… very sad. I guess it’s tough to really understand from the outside looking in.

what if I admit I have mommy and daddy issues

what then

I think context matters

The issue is not the acknowledgment that the issues stem from problems with a mother or father

The issue is the label(s) is often used as a dismissal- in a tone or cadence that implies they aren't "real" problems.

I have no problem with the terms in a self-refferential context. But when others use them to describe someone else it is almost always dismissive or apathetical.

True, I agree with that

With what

I'm level 51 and I still can't beat him
