yeah I agree, but pretty much every song in kh2 that was done great

honestly if it wasnt for roxas jank voice, i would say 2.5 was a very, very good port

I think there is something to be lost when everything moves to a full orchestra

It does make soundtracks feel less atmospheric for me

i would agree in some cases, but i dont feel that with most of kh because the soundfonts were meant to sound orchestral anyway

I for one think sacred moon and tension rising specifically lost their charm

Yeah, I'm fine with most instances

compared to something like FF7 remake mako reactor theme which completely changed genres by going orcheestral

and lost all of the flair

no more unsettling panning between ears of synths

instead some generic movie strings

But for example he's a pirate, I think as a battle theme the midi version is perfectly acceptable too

Orchestra doesn't really fit the vibe of midgar
