I understand the move to more action and having Sora have the full toolkit but even so having those support party members around doing their roles right really would have been the icing on the cake

Then again, maybe it's just me looking for that traditional aspect of JRPGs again haha

Well I don't play many jrpgs but in general having a party that can assist you and you can set up is always fun, even something incredibly simple like a follower in skyrim having different equipment can make a difference

If in bosses and post game you're gonna have those solo fights that push you to the limit, why not have the party be extremely helpful during the base game
