you have to understand that 5 games regardless of mobile or console will require a significant amount of dev time
and we're already 2 in

by then, the whole market will have flipped many times

and fans from 2001 will be in their 30s at the least

so year by year it becomes all the more difficult to cater to both new and old fans

assuming people even have somewhat of an interest in the series down the line if they keep doing what they are now

people complaining about fortnite just feels like old people haing the young

I agree with Icel, I would rather it have a good ending I stead of constanly being milked like how Sponebob, South Park, Simpson's, and etc etc

like when i was a kid i had exposure to people who played JRPGs, while now most kids play games like Fortnite and such and have YT for exposure as well

see a popluar YouTuber or streamer play an old FF, and you'll see FF get popular too

in that regard nothing has changed among kids, they just have different mediums of exposure
