New timelines are made the moment something different happens

Loki escpaing with the tesseract created a new one, along with Thanos being dead in 2014

its not that a new timeline is made when something different happens. Its that a new timeline happens anytime you use timetravel

basically you even being there makes a new timeline.

and since all those new timelines are destined to play through the events of endgame (except for the 2014 timeline) then basically even more timelines are going to be created that are exactly the same as the original timelines made in endgame
