For me, the combat is important yeah. But a JRPG is far more to me than its combat. I am not at all that concerned about the combat or music

But, if the narrative and characters aren't engaging, it ruins the whole package for me. Sorta like how I felt about Astral Chain

I feel strongly like that about jrpgs myself

It is FF7, so its plot will appeal to majority

I don't need to give people more of reason to make fun of me and flame me. And you can bet the FFVII fans will be triggered.
