Yeah I rarely play Fromsoft for story. Someone made a point that a lot of the Demon and Dark Souls material is from things Miyazaki thought were cool and liked with a lot of repetition in characters. Bloodborne was the one I most felt engaged with but even then it's Lovecraft with DS characters.
