poor scala nort got demoted from final boss to one of the many bosses towards the end

scala nort technically coincides with this boss

they are both final bosses, but final bosses of 2 different perspectives

this is technically xehanorts like last line of defense on the outside and it was a version of him that could talk and everything

sealing the deal on his time traveling shenanigans

so we think

now we gotta deal with mom's time travelling shenanigans

watch he'll be back

one by a trinity limit and the other by the warriors of light sealing him

in both realities

these characters evolved from using basic spells in kh1 to literally opening portals to pocket dimensions inside of a person

it was "overwritten" so the darkness timeline no longer exists

as crazy as it is, the characters have had some mega growth

basically sora both rewrote history and kept it the same, which is just a straight up nono and so the universe police are like "you're under arrest" and now hes in solitary confinement

that's the best way to explain the ending of KH3
