So far my favorite parts of re:mind are the playable characters, explorable Scala, the Guardians of Light vs Xehanort and the Story adding more to the original plot making it feel more complete.

Just like the Heartless. Weaker hearts and weaker minds tend to separate and form the weaker ones

Their old hearts still need to be released from their heartless form by a keyblade for them to return as somebodies.  I like to think their old hearts just merge with their grown hearts so they have the combined experiences of both forms.

Roxas is definitely a special case because Sora retained his sense of self when Roxas was created

Marly, Larxene, Luxord and Demyx have keyblade legacy to them

All of them have a keyblade based around them

That's how they retained a human form

That's also true

They were stabbed with a keyblade

thats the new canon

i was more referring to the old canon

as reference

So maybe that's the case. If we're being fair, Sora didn't form much more than a Shadow as a Heartless

But that's because Sora didn't have much darkness in him

Stronger the darkness, the stronger the heartless

i always took that as sora just being that nice

That's the point though.

I like this lore deal of the Keyblade stabbing causing them to retain physical bodies and not the hollow shells that are the weaker Nobodies

Because any of them could have had a similar Heartless situation.

maybe, but the original idea was that a person with a significantly strong heart could keep their physical form as a nobody

Though we do have exceptions since Sora had more than one Heart in him at the time he released his own.

also we dont know how luxord became a nobody yet

or demyx

Him and Demyx has a keyblade legacy to them

So they most likely got stabbed too

I hope Demyx is from VR

I feel like it would fit him

It would

i dont like the idea all of them became nobodies by getting stabbed

it kinda ruins the idea that they were outcasts and more like that they were super special

Like tbh, I always wondered why Luxord and Demyx specifically had less KH traits than the others

The problem is we have over half the original Organization being stabbed by Xehanort

yeah but thats because they were researching with him, and then he went crazy

So with them and Sora accounted for that leaves the few members who either have Keyblade Legacy or implied Legacy

Safe to assume they had a similar situation

see to me i hope they keep at least one of them ambiguous with how they died, whether it be by a heartless killing them or their world falling to darkness or something

Xehanort never went crazy as we have enough evidence to imply the whole scene at the opening of DDD was planned.

but he said he was ansem, he sounds pretty crazy to me

because then he kinda just stabs himself in the chest

Pretty sure he did that on purpose to cover up his trail. Not to mention this was Terra's body so it was still a minor power struggle
