I like to imagine that xehanort in apprentice norts subconscious was slowly driving his body to this point

Like apprentice xehanort did lose his memory, but also went insane from these experiments and ansem and xemnas never learned the full truth of their plans until it DDD

Even when ansem went back in time I doubt he was all there

He likely gave himself the gift of time travel not even referring to him as xehanort

Likely ansem actually called himself ansem

And simply stayed in that cave for years slowly going to madness contemplating the powers of darkness

See heres the thing from a writing stand point master xehanort and apprentice xehanort never had any scenes showing MX was really "in control"

Its always somewhat been heresay

Like xehanort was pulling the strings from within his own mind that had locked him away

I hope that's how his eyes look

His foresight also probably had something to do with it being subconsciously ingrained on him from his younger self time traveling.

heres how I see it, they were trying to make the final scene look like the ingame models but it actually made the ending look worse by comparison

They accomplished it in Remind at least

So basically this means the time line where they first one then where he went back in time to save her was completely erased.

Remind didn't erase anything

Sora went back in time, got kairi back then went back in the present with her

The scene where he says my whole journey started because of her and then he goes back in time.

Yeah, that didn't get erased

He got back there with Kairi

I mean the extra scenes added in the true ending make it a million times better.

Basically goes like this
Base KH3 happens > Kairi dead > Sora goes back in time > Visits the stuff you did in the base game > You see stuff that happened "behind the scenes" > Gets Kairi back > goes back to the present where he left with Kairi > ending is still the same but you see more of it

Sora didn't change the timeline in Remind

all we do is see what we didnt get to see in the original

I assume the extra scenes didn't happen in the original time line with Roxas n gang getting the sigil back

I kinda would've liked more cutscenes from before the endgame

also they still havent made pete and maleficent important

they better become useful again

X is mainly doing that now how u feel about that is another story but it is being touched on

and maleficent and Pete been quiet for a year as well

Or they've encountered certain other characters that we haven't caught back up on.
