So far my favorite parts of re:mind are the playable characters, explorable Scala, the Guardians of Light vs Xehanort and the Story adding more to the original plot making it feel more complete.

It's interesting because at first we think that Xehanort strives for balance because there's too much light, but at the end of the day it was actually the contrary

Too much darkness

But then at the end of KH3 he says there's too much darkness?

but in the final cutscene he does act like its darkness thats the problem

he also says it in his reports

It's just an awkward stunt

Xehanort trying to score some good guy points at the very end

they were trying to pull a thanos and they failed

"See, darkness is the problem, there's too much of it! That's why I used darkness to kill my best friend, create the aberration known as Vanitas and overall just firetruck with the lives of everyone. Because darkness is the problem"

Very cool

also had this whole plan to flood the worlds with so much darkness, that kingdom hearts breaks free from the realm of darkness

but ignore that

Wishing for balance is just BS anyway, we are always shown that darkness is the bad part of the light dark duo even if the games try to show them as two sides of the same coin

This one single well intentioned character uses the power of darkness for good purposes, therefore we must strive to have a perfect balance between the two forces despite everyone else who used darkness having ill will.

Darkness itself is just a power of nature, it feeds on negative emotions of people and turns them into monstrosities

In KH2 Mickey said that they weren't afraid of the darkness, but rather of those that lived in it.

Like that actually makes too much of a difference at the end of the day, so far the only light character that did wrong things was Eraqus and all he was trying to do was prevent the end of the world.

Meanwhile aside from Riku literally every single other darkness dweller has done bad things.

we need more people using light to do bad

the only problem is that the light in this franchise is by design made to be good

I'm not saying that Eraqus was justified morally, however his motivation was more justified pragmatically

In Kh2, xemnas only brings up the question to prose to them why they fear it, and if they dont, why the fear the nobodies, who were basically abandoned and left to fade into nonexistence, and they say its because they mess up our worlds, which they do

Xehanort was basically believing in a blind philosophy. In a world where darkness is often behind the bad things that happen Xehanort wants balance. To that end he is willing to destroy the world and start anew. There is no actual reason to it beyond "we need balance because that's how it's supposed to be".

but back in that game, yes they are using the heartless, but for most of the game, they activley want sora to kill the heartless

their goal is sora to do that

Meanwhile Eraqus was actually trying to prevent the end of the world and even if his methods were morally unjustifiable, his method at least made sense.

Kill Ventus: end of the world is averted

kh2 has the best motivation for a villain in this series and master of masters is probably gonna not be as good

Destroy everything in order to begin anew with a balance between light and darkness: who the firetruck knows

the only reason pureblood heartless attack people is because their instincts drive them to

they live in a world of darkness

thats all they know

because of xehanorts actions, he allowed them to break into the realm of light in swarms

That's what we're told but that's not what we see, Slash

the realm of light and darkness are a perfect dichotamy, where niether are meant to cross into one another

but they do because of xehanort

Light never made anyone succumb to their good thoughts and transform into a monster of light then turn other people into monsters of light like a plague

yes but when you think about it to a heartless, a human is a monster

Heartless barely have any thinking capabilities anyway

artificial heartless are the ones made from people
