So far my favorite parts of re:mind are the playable characters, explorable Scala, the Guardians of Light vs Xehanort and the Story adding more to the original plot making it feel more complete.

  • guys, nomura said the remind art hints towards another game KAIRI GAME? PLEASE HHHHH

ok so i went back to that secret report 12 where MoM's keyblade name is supposed be and I'm not sure it was a mistranslation or not to be honest, the original text + the ultimania commentary make it sounds like the keyblade's name is really "goat something" or "something goat"

wait trying to reverse write it in japanese...

贖罪の山羊

literal translation is "Goat of Atonement"

which probably becomes scapegoat

you gotta love that xehanorts entire motif is goats, which are literally symbolism of the devil, and they tried to make him sympathetic at the end of kh3

now the commentary ends with this (google translate) : The keyblade, referred to in the text as atonement goat will pass to (or maybe from) master Xehanort.

the japanese report sentence is " when he (MX) got the Atonement Goat, I started to move to fulfill my mission.

so what the firetruck is going on

this become that in english version : When this scapegoat arrives and takes my Keyblade in hand, that will be the time to take the stage and finish my role.

lunesacree said his translation of the report was wrong but what about the commentary...

The ending in Remind is still the same ending as the base game

You just see more of it

Sora and Kairi were there in the base ending all along, you just never saw them

if they hide during all the previous scene it's for a reason, why would they casually pop up on the beach then

:axelshrug:

That whole scene is weird in general in the base game

what i understand is a part of sora is there and kairi can see it and interact with it because sokai, but others can't

so others jsut see her crying on that palm tree on the beach

yes he was here but not physically, like he did through the DLC, unless he waited for the sora of this timeline to disappear so that he could act as him which become really weird

well there are 2 during kbg right ? the real one doing the usual shit while timejumping sora fight terranort with lingering will ?

It's a timeloop

Remind happens simultaneously as the base game stuff

So when Sora jumps back in time in Remind, he pops right back where he left off after he got Kairi

everything we see in re:mind also happens while the stuff in Kh3 happened

there are still 2 soras at some point here

The only iffy thing is the Days trio

i don't think it works like that

KBG sora vs remind sora is that remind sora is just hitching rides in people hearts up until he can go out on his own

i think it's another try literally, just like donald not needing to zettaflare because lingering will arrives

hes not actually changing time this time as chirithy said

this all canonically happened before remind took place

Sora went back in time, but not to change it

he's not but somehow he does

he doesnt change any circumstances by going back in time

Like I said earlier, only thing that's different is the Days trio thing

Which can kinda be explained but it's just a mess to do it
