  • Keep in mind that right now, everybody is working from home right now in Japan, so ot has a decent chance of being delayed

  • imagine all the microtransactions and delayed story updates ?

honestly so far i just like dark road because it feels so caring to the lore tho
like say what you will about it being mobile or the graphics or whatever but like when i saw emblem and pureblood mentioned by a characters i just felt validated for always thinking about the game

seasalt_shinji I enjoy days but I recognise its not a good system to have again

The game is offered to everyone else because it's not really expensive to do it

If they really respected the lore would it be a on a phone game strelitziapeek

You are misunderstanding me greatly

Yeah but how they present the story and lore

Skipping through text bubbles doesn't exactly make me want to find out the lore

It's also just thinking about the "what could have been"

No

"Skipping the dialogue made me uninterested in the lore"

It is frankly ridiculous that the following sentence can be uttered seriously:

To understand the Kingdom Hearts story you must play two phone games

It's the medium I have an issue with

I'm sure all the mobile phone games will be eventually played on consoles

Or watch them on YouTube, even though it was painful for me to watch through just one section and I don't want to do it anymore

Having a good story does NOT make up for the predatory gacha practices, it does not make up for the boring boring boring gameplay and it certainly does not make up for the fact that this is the laziest way to deliver lore

Please.... Just write a book

Also UXs storage space is a crime

I'm still iffy in a book if it's important to current games story, transmedia narrative can leave things convoluted. But if it's just lore that's not too relevant, that's okay

I'm just very tired. Why are we accepting this and defending it

personally i just don't have any issue with the medium, and im okay with it being like this rather than a book. A game is just more engaging, whether its a good game or not, imo.

the game is free, and I'd say dr and ux are the best in the gacha world because you legit just dont have to buy anything, you can go on without spending a cent and still be able to play the lore. If you want to play more and get involved in the events

Which tbh dark Road kinda is, it's hopefully better than ux in that way. But I still don't like it

The problem also is if you have any criticism there's a part of the fan base that goes REEEEE HOW DARE YOU

The issue is that in order to find out about the lore you have to deal with boring gameplay

Seriously, and it's just getting worse

On both counts

it’s the same the other way around too sadly ?
