There's nothing suggesting that scenes with Zack in the game aren't flashbacks. He's very likely still dead.

Efw the differences get to be more and more and we get a timeline where Cloud ends up dying instead somehow

 

 

I think it makes more sense that Zack die in different spot, rather than just leaving a traumatized Cloud there who apparently undergoes some sort of transformation into ff7 cloud

||So just looking at the Wiki, Cloud has Mako Poisoning, was just in a destructive tragedy, and Zack then just dies, leaving him there.

Going by that, it makes more sense to me that Cloud isn't just left there, and Zack, even with his last breaths, takes him to Midgar||

Cloud, the way I am reading it, IS VERY UNWELL, he shouldn't just be walking away

 

 

when Zack dies, Cloud takes the Buster Sword and leaves with it, then recovers and that's when ogFF7 starts

 

 

Cloud as a regular infantryman does not have the constitution of a soldier, Zack can handle things better than Cloud. It's weird to me watching that that Zack is the one who dies

 

That's exactly what happened

Cloud's body is very resistant to Mako iirc that's why he survives in the first place, so he recovers and gains new strength as a result

 

The mako poisoning mutated him and made him stronger too if I remember right.

I'm not sure why he wasn't accepted in the SOLDIER since he was also really good with swords

Cloud seems like he's too fine

He was passed out during that whole time

Only woke up when Zack died

And the mako poisoning is still in him

it just seems weird to me that on account of everything, Zack dies and Cloud just walks off

Cloud is a wreck, and so is Zack but he's still standing, albeit we don't know how much longer||

The soldiers knew cloud was dying, they just left him be to suffer

 

what you see in remake at the end takes place between the final fight and zack's death

 

But instead it made him stronger
