And just like in the og, they aren't gonna let you go anywhere you want immediately just cause it's open. They are opening one area up, you can explore it, and then move to the next open area.

it's a japanese dev problem, they are bad at openworld

square enix just barely got started on this kind of thing

Similar to what FFXV did

i mean the game were pretty open world up until chapter 12-14 ish

for ffxv that is

Ending the game on where Aerith dies won't be an issue as the story to get there is pretty straightforward

Only issue is how much time are they willing to use to make the world

big empty area with nothing loading farther than 20 meters isn't good openworld

That's pretty much FF7 tho

they could as big as midgar or just smaller than that or bigger if they wanted

but it's the best they have done

And I like xenoblade a lot and it still didnt give me the feelings and joy I had when I played ffvii r

i thought that was near where we met vincent

depending on the choice you make vincent first or yuffie

you meet yuffie in world map forests, the ancient forest is a specific area near cosmo canyon

It's fine to be skeptical, nothing wrong with that

i remained positive as a fan of the og and i liked what i seen and experienced so far, my only wish was more action less atb/classic and a fixed leveling system. and less dumb quests like the three minigames i mentioned. and a little more open world less ff13 style hallways ¯_(ツ)_/¯
