They still could have done a boss fight without that that's well make it Genova or Roche or something heck I'd I could have still kept the sephiroth fight it would have been still very out of place but it wouldn't be nearly as egregious

The thing that annoys me about 7R is that there are hints which retcon some parts of crisis core

like Genesis

Genesis has apparently never existed in the universe of 7R

They did mention G cells but I think that's referring to Gillian not Genesis

One thing I am hoping they tie into is the Dirge of Cerberus secret ending with Genesis have this plot connect back to that somehow

I really hope they include Yuffie and Vincent this time more >:

I liked both of them

Especially Vincent because he's important for the overall story

There's no way they're not going to get an expansion especially with the focus on wutai

replace the pointless barret story in gold saucer with something meaningful like introducing Yuffie instead

It's kind of weird because the room he tells you it in looks exactly like the one in the flashback but it's not the same place at all

Yuffie joins before Junon in OG, so I expect her pretty early

she can join any point in the game that's just the earliest you can get her

yes but until gold saucer there is no one else joining so it's pretty sure she'll

that makes for 3 melee and 3 ranged too

Yuffie, Red, Cait sith 3 new playable chars for a sequel sounds ok with Vincent as a guest memeber at end game

I can't wait for Caith Sith. He looked great in the cutscene

and Vincents limit break will be Pog as well

And of course the next game could end at Nibelheim but at this point I'm expecting them to make Junon on its own game based on nourmas interviews

nibelheim sure feels far away, even tho it would be the perfect choice

imagine ff7r ending up with 7 games

Midgar as its own game made sense the pacing here should theoretically be much quicker

The plot points are more spread out after that

yeah but they'd need to create assets for almost the entire world just for this episode

unless they've been working on them for some time during the 1st ep development

like the nibelheim stuff

I still think its going to follow the same story. Time and time again have they said that they aren't changing anything major story wise and other than the ending of part 1, even though they still end up in the same track like they should be, it still followed the plot like it should with minor changes.

I mean, if the next game goes completely bonkers and does something different then that's that, I guess. Depending on what they do, I might like it even but its definitely going to sour my experience a bit.
