see, i guess i just don't understand the problem here. like sure, there's a discussion to be had about content being linked to purchases and all, but this? this is a remake of a game that lots of people didn't even play. it's not even adding anything new, like how the wolf link amiibo did back when twilight princess was remade. it's just making an existing feature a little more accessible/user-friendly

W/ amiibos, people at least get to keep a physical, collectible item. The cost is a bit disagreeable, though.

nah, i played the original. the amiibo lets you travel to the sky from wherever you are on the ground, and to the ground from wherever you are in the sky. in the wii version, you were limited to only being able to do that at specific statues. it's like how you can only get to the world map from save points in kh games, basically. so it's not even removing a feature if you don't have the amiibo: it's just not letting you do it more efficiently than the original game allowed
