I got so done with AC when I heard that they killed off the main antagonist that transcends the entire timeline in a comic

Yeah both employ similarly, just Dragons Dogma had the party chatter like 15, but in DnD tongue

You can look at each game as like their own franchise pretty much; even the first 6, and least popular ones like 11, 12, even 13.

I say that but clearly 11 must be good that game STILL gets updated with content.

Is 13 as bad as people say?

Each one is its own a standalone story and world while keeping the overall theme

would have said the opposite so play them yourself i guess

i hated the first one but liked the other 2

The first sequel just had a really weird stsrt for me. Lighting Returns I think is significantly better.

FF13-2 improved alot over the first
Lightning Returns was great in its own way, despite the awkward story, but overall the gameplay felt like an evolution of 12 a little bit

iirc 13-2 had some pokemon like monster catching, and returns was 1 character cosplaying as 3

i liked the originality

I just wish Square wasn't thinking about a 7 remake at the time. It cast a shadow over the first XIII's whole development.

Square management and executives were pretty bad during that time, especially with decision making, another reason why 15 suffered

there is a documentary about ffxiv that go into it, and how they changed that, thanks to yoshida and others

Yeah you'd need a flow chart and a few hours to really take in the cluster firetruck that was Square Enix from like 2006-2017

After KH2 it all went downhill lmaooo

It seems to be good now again tho.

Felt FF12 didn't suffer this though, it turned out good

just unleash nomura

print money from weebs

So funny story:

There was a point where 12, X (and its sequel), Tactics for PSP, Crisis Core and that Spirited Away movie were being worked on ALL at the same time lol

I felt like games like the Musashi reboot had the worst end of the stick, from then on

Really, that's pretty wild

Then they had the whole Novela Crystalis thing, and THEN KH3 was taking forever to come out- it's no wander Musashi and other franchises suffered lol

Indeed, that explains it all there😆

honestIy, if there's one thing Remake and it's cohort reIeases can teach us

it's that FF7 is IiteraIIy it's own franchise

the fact they ceIebrate 7's anniversary specificaIIy shouId've tipped us off years ago but stiII
