I'm a Pokémon fan and Palworld looks laughable

It's trying too much to be edgy

Heck, I'd say the latest Pokémon games are much firetrucking better than Palworld which says a lot

is there a story

like a steam early access game, i cant play on max setting with my old pc so it's not very beatiful scenery-wise, but the pals looks very nice and it runs pretty well, no crash yet

the story is, you wake up on this archipelago, gigantic one btw, and you have to survive, you find lore-record thing, explaining pals, people, and the towers, big goal seems to be to defeat the towers (gyms)

only went into one of them, spend the rest of my time exploring and building my base

Which basically means "Defeat the Elite Four and the Pokemon Champion"

yeah in tower you have a pal tamer and its big pal

What's the combat like, is it pokemon turn based battle or third person shooter

you have legendaries roaming, randomly generated dungeons, some grottoes with boss in them

it's all real time

but you dont unlock guns right awway

some pals have fighting abilities, like you can use the firefox as a flamethrower

or give the monkey a machinegun

they use their abilities by themselves otherwise

you can mount some, and fight while mounted using their abilities manually

havent tested flying yet

you can have one active pal out at a time, but some have an abilities that make them fly around you and fight, so you could have 1 active + 4 passive out max

instead of putting it against pokemon, i think it's just a nice alternative with a different take, and i think pokemon could learn just a few things from it

ha, the music is almost non existent, i think they should work on that, very forgettable
