Amanda Bynes was such a good actress, she really does sell the emotion of a heartbroken protagonist just trying to make things right out of supernatural happenstance that occurs only in the new house she moved into with her family.

It's still pretty interesting that

the kids that lived or visited the house previously ended up getting sucked into the basement floor's cracks and their entire friends and families forget about them just like that.
