You see, Soulsbros, not fans of Souls games, but, the ones we would, or I would, call Soulsbros can be quantified 2 ways.

1. They're older gamers who got jaded by the industry years ago, and they see FromSoft's games as the last bastion of what they would consider "true" games. They're hard, there's no diffuculty sliders, there's no long cutscenes, it's just you, and the game. Because of this, they have it in their mind that these are the true ways games should be made. They have a mindset FS is an under dog, even tho no. No They're not. And they haven't been since Bloodborne. They feel they need to safeguard and protect this company and their games. From the "bad" gamers. So they gatekeep, they become elitist. They dismiss any and all criticism as skill issue- because they can't bare to see their iotolah, their idol- their BEACON OF HOPE, criticized.

2. The beat the games like once and have a big ego about it and critique the way you play to feel better about how they struggled.

"Black Knight Halberd is OP! 😭"

"Sorceries are OP! 😭"

"Summoning is OP! 😭"

I gotta say insomniac reaIIy put my expectations ahead in terms of what to expect out graphicaI modes

I thought going into PS5 gen we'd get:
quaIity mode: aIways 4K with raytracing, but 30fps
performance mode: mostIy 4k at 60fps, but no raytracing
RT performance, sort of 1440p at 60fps with raytracing

instead we've gotten:
quaIity mode: sometimes 4K with mid visuaIs
performance mode: sometimes 1080p 60fps with mid visuaIs
RT performance mode: 😂

I would say that goes to most PS studios

All of them since the end of the PS4 gen started working heavily on accessibility settings and it's kinda insane how different they are too

Xbox had a few that started it too recently, their car game (Forza?) had some good ones
