Nah I just mean that ever since I was in honest to God middle school every couple of years something about a hypothetical MGS movie gets "announced" with directors, writers, stars, and nothing comes out of it lmao

The stories are stories that are most effectively told as a video game, watering that down or trying to "recapture" its magic through an adaptation would lose something

Many such examples of this in film now 😔

An MGS movie could be cool if they use it as a chance to tell a unique new story that wasn't seen in the games rather than being in adaptation but it won't be that probably

That's what id prefer but I fear they would just fall victim tp the usual suspects of adaptations

Having characters for fanservice and cheap pops only, re-treading the games, no meaningful character growth, "hey, he said the thing!" Moments, and my personal favorite, 'making it accessible to the average movie-goer.'

We already have an MGS movie, though.
