—So, does that mean we won’t be doing things like “talking to Chadley in the field to launch the battle simulator” anymore, as we did in the previous game?

Hamaguchi: That’s right. Those kinds of elements are presented in a different way this time around.

Doing this now because I might not have another time to do it lol sorry
After close to 115 hours... (I wish I was joking...) I have finally completed Octopath Traveler II. Overall... I would say it's a MASSIVE improvement and IMO FAR BETTER than the first/prior game. Now it goes without saying that it still has problems. Some of the bosses are utterly ridiculous in terms of difficulty and are too high difficulty wise IMO. Particularly one of Agnea's Chapter bosses, Hikari's final chapter boss and even the absolute final boss of the game. Plus I still feel like this franchise has a leveling problem. I still had to spend time grinding. I really shouldn't have to do that just saying. Either make grinding easier or lower the recommended levels for the chapters just saying. Also the Chapter logic in this game is bizarre as hell and is completely illogical I'm sorry. I still hadn't finished Chapter 2's and was doing Chapter 3's. Um... what? Yeah that's illogical I'm sorry. Admittedly, and obviously, some of the above is my skill level but I'm just saying my experience and what I went through. Everything else was honestly great. Most of the Traveler stories were actually pretty good and I have no complaints about any of them. Hikari's was my personal favorite (which is why I chose him as my 'starter' lol). Most of the characters were also great and another massive improvement over the prior game (in which I felt most of those characters were 'meh'). The characters interact more especially during the true ending/finale. Another MASSIVE improvement. Really the writing overall just seemed better and that's a good thing. The true ending/finale was probably the best part of the game and was just AMAZING overall. Mostly made the 115 hours worth it lol (again this is a good thing). Personal score: 8.5/10
