every night when I play I fear the game is going to be gone and it was a figment of my imagination this whole time

some moments I'm killing it with the new controls and then the next my old muscle memory kicks in and i do 15 different things back to back trying to figure out what each button is

mentally I'm playing the og in my mind at the same time for every room

which causes me to fall flat on Links face cuz no auto jump

i think the greatest part that keeps getting me is that i have had to stay on the pause menu a lot during my sessions so I'm hearing the music in the background the entire time. every time i unpause im expecting the old game, but im hit with the beauty of everything in the new engine

still not used to it

like I'll have it on pause in hyrule field with the iconic music and then i unpause thinking I'll be playing OoT or 3D but nope its completely new

I mean like it's a switch game but this is the first time I think I've genuinely ever been full on wowed by a games visual like I've never felt like I was playing a next-gen game until now

genuinely, i cannot wait to see what they're cooking up for the next major 3D Zelda after this

I've had some thoughts like that like to think that this could just really be the appetizer teaser for what's to come really

and that is fascinating but you know I could always be let down I'm not terribly fond of the botw direction myself so if anything I'm more looking forward to Majora's mask remake at the moment

this being my first native Switch 2 game makes it more impressive to me i think. going from what we had on Switch 1 to this is wild

this does feel like the first "real" switch2 title

donkey kong was great and probably cant be done on s1 but still felt like a s1 ish title

I'll have to get that eventually, it looks like a fun time
