Honestly, that may be for the best, given all the stuff shown in the concept art. It's one thing to be constrained within a movie, since the focus is on one or a couple villains. But a TV show would easily run out of content if they were limited in the same way

(constrained being in reference to what all they have rights to)

This is probably gonna be the same explanation they give when The X-Men start coming into play fully. Instead of Kamala being the first Mutant in 616, the Incursion will make it so they were always there. The story of Peters origin is gonna change so Norman, Harry, and the villains were fleshed out from the start. Explains why they still say its part of 616 even though it shouldnt be.
