I got so done with AC when I heard that they killed off the main antagonist that transcends the entire timeline in a comic

Now that they honeymoon phase has long since passed, I’m honestly a little disappointed in the new gen. Microsoft and Sony marketing made it sound like every game would look breathtaking and run at 4k 60 fps minimum. Here we are all this time later and very few games have held true to that promise so far.

The only reason I'd have to upgrade is because my PS4 is an original release that I got refurbished from GameStop back in 2016.

And it still works well enough for me to keep using it.

I think it's because every new console that would come out, like ps2 to ps3 to ps3 to ps4, xbox to xbox 360 to xbox one were phenomenal due to the graphics and techonolgy increasing each new gen console. With ps4 to ps5 or xbox one to xbox series x, it just kinda feels like the same console since we've already reached max out technology.

Wii to wii u to switch also.

I will say though, I am really enjoying being able to crank up the FOV in games without sacrificing performance. That alone has partly made my purchases worth it.

Not saying its bad to buy the new gen consoles or anything, it's just my opinion on the matter.

Yeah, I think there’s no immediate need to buy a new-gen yet unless you have the money to spare. Their exclusive libraries need to build up some more. Currently, everything’s still coming out on Xbone/PS4.

They will stop it eventually.

Is it still hard to get a ps5 and Xbox series x?

Not really

From what I’ve seen online, Xbox supply has been stable depending on where you are. PS5 is still a tough find.

Ps5s have been everywhere

My store gets them like every week

Well lol USA if you in others idk your situation

I havent seen either here

ikr???

most games are stiII being made with Iast-gen in mind

in aII honestIy l've onIy seen games Iike Ratchet Rift Apart and Demon SouIs genuineIy wow me

I could be entirely wrong here, but it seems like we’re still in the phase where if a game isn’t exclusive to new-gen it’s either developed for last-gen and then ported up to the new consoles, or it’s developed for both platforms simultaneously. I don’t think we have hit the point where new-gen is the flagship version and the game is downgraded to work on last-gen.

yeahhh.

We saw this very clearly as the transition was made from 360/PS3 to Xbone/PS4. The older consoles were still getting some of the games, but they were noticeable downgrades. Potentially even missing content.

that's basicaIIy how it's been

thankfuIIy, oId-gen doesn't have to deaI with missing content

instead it seems as if their success is "hoIding the new-gen back"

l'd honestIy be more down to have extreme graphicaI differences than have both versions of a game be gimped

All most old-gen games are currently missing out on is graphical options. We got games that have like 6 different modes on PS5 and then 2 on old-gen

cough* Cyberpunk 2077 *cough

=D

I love nerding out with people.
