VC been like that since the dawn of the tech tbh

any multiplayer game community is going to have it's toxic people in it with the goal of hurting other players, not having a way to not hear then will just hurt your game

In a perfect world, no there would be no need for a mute button since everyone would be supportive and nice, but that's not how it typically is

See this is why I hardly play online except with friends. Interacting with strangers is horrid.

Even if there aren’t toxic players in the match you’re gonna have folks with shitty mics, little kids, people blasting music, and unfortunate souls with parents having a divorce in the background
