It’s Sony knowing they can’t compete with Xbox’s ability to burn Microsoft’s cash like there’s no tomorrow. They’ve started paying off studios to prevent their games from ending up on Game Pass, because they can’t offer a realistic competitor to the system.

Sony has nothing to fear in terms of quality. they still have the better exclusives. by far

they're gonna need to innovate tho, the third person narrative heavy adventure is getting a bit repetitive

l mean, they use a modified version of PCSX2 from 2015, said version had terribIe compatibiIity with the Jak games and Ape Escape 2
so they made manuaI fixes for them

Xbox brought back a cult classic from the original Xbox called Phantom Dust with new features despite the fact they weren’t actually allowed to sell it so it was free.

It is about quality too though

Like I am not going to say COD is quality games or anything, well made sure

But Microsoft is heavily lacking in the quality aspect in their game

All they have done now is buy up studios, or even worse a goddamn publisher, to compete with Sony and Nintendo

And not just one publisher, they are trying to get a second one while still not showing any of the quality aspect on what they just bought

I genuinely hope this deal falls apart because what microsoft needs to do is spend their money on the actual studios they currently have

The amount of money they are using to buy up studios would be much better used on current studios, or even better actually creating new studios

If the deal falls through Microsoft is going to owe AB a fortune. And without that new cashflow from them, they’re going to look for more places to cut corners and charge more with what they have.

Should Xbox invest more in what they own and pick up smaller dev talent? Probably, but they’re in this mess now and it’ll hurt pretty badly if it doesn’t go through.

I don’t have access to the contracts but yes I believe they will have to payout to AB if the deal doesn’t go through to the tune of billions

after checking, the only thing i care about from them is crash and spyro, and nothing interesting seems to be planned for them so...

I think there is a new game for Crash in the works
