I guess Breath of the Wild is something similar to it, but that's to be expected with all the Zelda games when you have a mute character

Zelda is the one game like that which will always get a pass from me

Persona series has a self insert character, which I found to be really, really dumb

At least with Persona 5, I still need to play the others

Cus while link is always mute and like a blank slate there’s still some personality and history there underneath it all

persona 5's MC is the least self insert of 3, 4 and 5

well 3's has more backstory at least

4's is the most self insert by far

Thats what Atlus planned for with Joker anyway, they though Yu had too much personality from what I remember.

the p2 protags aren't self insert at all. P1 is well, the less said about that the better
