They never explained in Skyward Sword how Demise actually got banished and how Hylia was related to all of it and how the sword of the goddess got created. And people in the Zelda community think that due to TotK's ouroboros theme

I disagree with the theory too because it would be really dumb

my personal theory is that totk will just be the end of the timeline

and won't create Skyward Sword

It could go this way: Demise is a seperate entity -> he steals Ganondorfs triforce and curse power because he no longer needs him and sees him as a threat -> ganondorf is no longer cursed -> ganondorf turns into a support character, because it already got foreshadowed in Wind Waker that he hates being forced into this cycle

or it could go this way: He's just the bad guy and turns into demise but this would be imo very anticlimactic
