I got so done with AC when I heard that they killed off the main antagonist that transcends the entire timeline in a comic

Yeah I agree with that

She does great work, no denying it

But she can take some things very far and give people the wrong idea

And this feels like another one

exactly

especially because right now it feels like she's looking at it from a KH/Nomura side of deciphering when IIRC we know Nomura isn't the lead on this project anyways so it wouldn't make sense to be that deep lol

From what I can tell, he directed the remake but almost all the story decisions were not done by him anyway.

i think (hope?) it's just a lead up to something during SGF

It probably is. The sevent developer diary is when SGF starts

I could be wrong, but IIRC they mentioned he was stepping down from lead director for Rebirth?

which is why i brought that up

Nomura is still working on FF7R, he's just not the director anymore

yeye that's what i'm getting at

I think Kitase is the full director now

Went from him and Nomura co-directing to that

the point of these daily messages seems to be leading into Day 7 at SGF where most of the information they want to reveal will be revealed, so of course they're going to trickle us with these super vague and light messages for now. idk why everyone is getting so pressed about them being so surface level on twitter lmfao

Probably so he can focus on KH4 I assume- Square finally learned "Hey maybe we shouldn't spread this guy so firetruckin thin; his mental health matters too."

I mean it makes sense

And he has probably planned out what happens in the trilogy too so he doesn't need to do much else n ow

And he has probably planned out what happens in the trilogy too so he doesn't need to do much else now

well that and they probably realize how integral he is to the company so they're giving him more leeway lol

Well it's a twofold thing- Square always encourages fan discussion; to its benefit and detriment, and, even without Nomura's involvement, theorizing and brain storming is par for the course with the company's IP'S.

On the other hand,

At least todays message did confirm the synergy combos are back in Rebirth like they were in the DLC

I am happy they are expanding on that

Intergrade's added combat mechanics seemed like a given tbh but yeah it's nice to hear more confirmation about that

i can use the buster sword to launch tifa at enemies ???

like the way I saw it, the reason they didn't drop it on PS4 was to take advantage of hardware for more mechanics that they'd test out for Rebirth. not the ONLY reason it wasn't on ps4 of course, but one of them

i'm already envisioning Cid having similar synergy attacks to Sonon lol

Launching Tifa like a cannonbal like with Yuffie

I did notice a lot more verticality to the level designs in the DLC, hopefully that's a look into how Rebirth will work

launch tifa at an aerial enemy, then swap to tifa for continued air combos
