It's standard Bamco plot for sure
But honestly, the rest of it imo is really good

More fun combat than Arise, the characters are have their tropes but not done in an annoying way
Music and world is super duper cool
And I think it has the best pacing for main story + bonding events in an RPG like this

Side quests are some of the worst tho sadly

But for a new IP from BAMCO? They hit the nail on the head

it's final boss theme song is also goated
