I got so done with AC when I heard that they killed off the main antagonist that transcends the entire timeline in a comic

he scares me

he's a force of nature

Is he working on anything now

not that we know of no

finally a healing robe in FFXIV that doesn't look like garbage

because they dropped the ball so hard on the raid set healing gear this expansion

tank, healer and dragoon gear wins

pvp players are constantly winning in terms of gear this expansion though

the bouncer vibes

xD

So when should I start to care around armor and weapons for my jobs?

just buy the gear for poetic tomestones. the item level is enough to last for the leveling process of an entire expansion.

you always unlock the next vendor for poetics the moment you finish the base mainstory quest of an expansion

and at level cap and after finishing endwalker you unlock new tomestones which have a weekly cap. these have the 2nd highest item level which is currently available and can also be upgraded to the current highest ilvl

currently SE is working on changing endgame gearing because it takes too long to equip all jobs

That sounds very nice

the people who go hard in terms of FFXIV main all jobs at the same time

and it's a little bit frustrating if you can't gear all of them fast enough

Yeah that makes a lot of sense

my main is tank but I also love to play black mage and the only thing that holds me back from doing really good damage is the lack of gear. 💀

and the only reason I main tank is because no one in my guild wants to play tank

xD

So for gunbreaker, since that class technically wasn't introduced until shadowbringers, can I still get poetic gear for GB in an earlier expansion?

yep

you can buy lvl 60 poetics gear in ishgard

after you have finished the heavensward msq

Ok sick

Yeah me and a buddy of mine were doing the heavensward alliance raids and I felt bad since I was playing tank but I had no idea what the hell was going on

lmao that's normal don't worry

my favorite one in heavensward is the final alliance raid

it still wipes groups to this day

especially the first and final boss

and stormblood has the best alliance raid

Man I'm hyped

I've been enjoying all the raids so far

Still a little bummed that we couldn't do the bahamut raids but I've heard that they're kind of a snooze fest

Bahamut needs a rework. They were designed like WoW raids which means they were basically hard content in ARR. This design philosophy got changed in Heavensward because they didn't want to lock out people from the story

the normal raid stories and side trial stories are really good

especially the shadowbringers stories

the MSQ also references the raid stories in later parts

Yeah, they're really good. I'm excited to see how the Alexander raids end

fun fact the first tier of alexander was so hard on savage when it got released that it almost killed the entire raiding scene

Wait seriously?

yep
