you'd assume that this setting changes the quaIity of stages and their background right?
no.
it does nothing
this is with background detaiI maxed out, IiteraIIy at uItra setting
other settings (incIuding textures) are high as weII outside of Shadows which are medium

but then
once I set texture detaiI to uItra....
it adds more shadows AND more props???

IiteraIIy from Iow to high there's 0 difference in textures

but there's also a few very challenging ones

(there's one level that I spent an hour on trying to beat oop)

I just remind myself that I have adult brain now so a lot of this stuff isn't gonna be challenging anymore haha
