I got so done with AC when I heard that they killed off the main antagonist that transcends the entire timeline in a comic

Maybe not him specifically but yoshi-p definitely has stated he doesn't like how where sqaure takes ages to do things and he's done the opposite with stuff he's worked on

there we go

also yeah that

but liek that's also what i mean by "literally having nothing"

as constantly changing the story is a sign you have a lack of direction

And when you take too much fan input into account also

He also didn’t like them trying to make crazy engines and trying to always have the best looking game

which xv apparently had a lot of

I mean square has always been about pushing the graphical quality but it's at a point now for awhile it's been harming the games more than benefiting

Exactly

OH YEAH THAT TOO

crazy to think that a game engine almost lead to the death of a company

on multiple associations

> Like or hate the guy it's undeniable that he gets things moving along it doesn't take decades like Nourma
I wouldn't go that far against Nomura

Believe it or not, all the games he has worked on other than Versus 13 has come out after a reasonable time

The issue is when they are announced

5 years time to get a game out is normal

Which is what it took KH3

same with FF7R

Hell, they had to start from scratch two years into FF7R and they still got it out after 3 years

Nomura gets the games out, the issue comes on Square announcing them way too damn early

Yoshi P is 4 years into FF16 right now, it's not any different from what Nomura has done except they announced it later

Which helps it a lot more

^^^^

the only game that I say that would be applied to

is XV

because when it started as Versus 13

there was literally nothing

No, even XV came out at a reasonable time

That one took around 5 years too

Versus 13 is a whole other drama

yeah but when you take into account Versus 13

it gets real messy

Yeah that's fair

But it's also a director change

changing directors was a good call

in my opinion

Tabata worked his ass off just to get that game out

and you know what?

it has a lot of flaws

but he made a pretty good game

Not only to keep some of the stuff Nomura did but also make the trilogy he planned into just one game

considering the circumstances surrounding it

Along with working on a brand new engine they made

That was apparently absolute hell to use even though it looked amazing

indeed

that's what happens when you make an engine while making a game

(it's surprising that this was the 3rd time that had happened, well 2nd if you ask someone else)

Crystal Tools was similar, I think

Not sure what the third is

yeah

FF13

I cound 14 in that as well

since it was still buggy and messy when they were developing 14

and then they upgraded to luminous

so techincally not 3

but just 2

but my point still stands

Versus 13 is the only thing I will ever give shit to Nomura for

and while I feel for him that he wasn't able to tell the story he wanted to

still doesn't change the fact he announced the project when they literally had nothing, idk if that was a higher up's decision but I think it would have been fair for Nomura not to announce it at the time
