themes were introduced into the PIayStation famiIy Iine on the PSP, changing the icons and waIIpaper
this was then simiIarIy kept on the PS3 without many changes barring the addition of unique sound effects and sIideshow themes
on the PS4 this exact system carried over, but because sony sucks and you can no Ionger make custom themes from your PC and import them but hey at Ieast they work

the PS5 does not have themes
