weII yeah but these issues are soIeIy because of the 60FPS, and won't happen at......

actuaIIy

I haven't tested that

k yeah, it's a framerate issue
....frankIy, the easiest Ieast time consuming fix wouId be to just cap these at 30FPS whiIe keeping the rest 60 (on PS4 ofc)

I've asked a friend of mine to test how the 60FPS runs on actuaI PS3 hardware, shouId be interesting

If you have the pc specs to run this mod I highly recommend to give it a try.

> According to the survey, AI is being used across a variety of job types at development studios, including business and finance (which 44% of respondents said it was being used for), community and PR (41%), production and team management (33%), programming (25%), game design (21%), narrative (13%), visual arts (16%), audio (14%) and QA (6%).

with the sheer crunches some teams have to go through of course they're gonna resort to sanity prevention meters

maybe some just find it easier or prefer to use

but I bet pIenty need it to save time

> The survey also notes that indie studios are more likely to use AI tools at the moment, with 37% of respondents from indie studios saying they personally used it, versus 21% working at AAA and AA studios.

it's only 3000 participants so it might be not entirely accurate btw. would be interesting to see a bigger industry wide research conducted by universities or organizations that work in this field

the gdc doesn't necessarily reflect the entire industry

It’s a nuanced discussion to be sure. The issue is less that AI is being used at all but more where and how it’s being used.

Unless the culture and general practices of AAA development shift drastically, it almost looks like AI will be necessary to get anything done.

And indies (who are already struggling to keep the lights on), will ultimately have to compete with this, so what choice do they have?

I do get why this is happening though. The economy is taking a crap and costs need to be cut somewhere.

It makes a lot more sense to use AI in finance, marketing, and production than anything creative, so honestly the jobs the WOULD get replaced are those which are designed to be replaceable anyway. It’s far easier to find an accountant than a writer, after all.

it's time for me to apply for a job in QA

We’ll probably see the same in other industries as well. Cashiers, waiters, and other low skill jobs are stuff AI is capable of as well. But again, moot point because they’re supposed to be replaceable.

THIS IS WHY COLLEGE AND CAREER GROWTH MATTERS PEOPLE
