What's with games being stingey with save slots now? They take up extra space or sm?

apparently Dragon's Dogma 1 had only 1 saveslot

and that's why 2 is only allowed to have 1 too

Lol some actually take up to close 100 mb idk why

no one cared after PS2 to optimize save fiIes

onIy did on PS3 out of habit and even there sizes are often 23MB
