There's a very famous story with Marvel comics of a writer called C.B Cebulski who did something similar. He created a fake identity as a Japanese writer called Akira Yoshida.

Even after this coming out he sadly still got a promotion and is currently the editor in chief there

Apparently the reason he did that was because he wanted to write a story about Wolverine in Japan

Worst thing about this for me is there's people who hate new accessibility things in games anyway, so to them, it justifies their dislike of the mechanics and people who support them.

It's like if someone dislikes a minority, right, and they go "these people are bad" and then on sheer random coincidence, there's a story about a few doing some bad things and they're like "see? See??? Justifies hating the whole of a collective!"

It's dumb lol

There's some validity in that I think but I also think if we have a story tontell and we do so with respectful intent/integrity, then yeah, people should be free to tell the stories.

If it was a story of Wolverine being in Japan and he was just like

"This place sucks, bub" the whole time, yeah that's not good lol but I don't think that story was that anyway

It's a shame that underhanded tactics pave the way for positive change . I wanna call it a "necessary evil" but I don't feel right calling it that lol
