The issue is the content in these games and what happens

Along with pacing

FF16 has a decent fun idea at a combat

But everything surrounding it is so dull

Rebirth has the opposite problem when it comes to stuff outside of combat, it does too much

the interesting thing is old FF games were more designed like souls games. they didn't really have sidequests or other shit. You just explored the world and found random areas

and it was always great

I mean there were side quests and such

Yeah it was better.

But you didn't have a menu to check them

I hope they take a note from From Software games regarding exploration

You had more freedom too
