Considering one of the factors that seemed to cripple the third movie was the backlash for recasting Johnny Depp as Grindelwald, it feels ironic though that imo anyway, even Depp couldn't save the second movie.

yeah, it's not on sale rn, but it goes on sale pretty often and for cheep too

At minimum get the enhanced edition, definitive edition has all of the cosmetics plus another dlc that I never messed around with too much, but it is all of the content the game has to offer
