pretty much. at our university there's already courses for gen ai in game dev and programming

I feel like certain game devs will try to bullshit themselves out of the criticism by stretching the term "art" in the future

It's not gonna be the people that will stop gen ai in gaming btw

it's gonna be the breaking point when people realize how much it takes away physical resources for hardware like semiconductors which are pretty much needed for basically every piece of hardware in a PC

just look how expensive RAM and SSDs have become

to play devil's advocate. If E33 used gen AI then the thing they got called out for is probably not the only piece of gen AI in the game. we just don't notice it

using gen ai assets + unreal engine assets is incredibly efficient from a game dev perspective. it saves shittons of time

7.4 is on par with Shadowbringers writing if not better... legit 10/10 story
