I am gonna be honest, its kind of hard to take this discussion seriously when one second you are saying AAA should not recycle assets and in the next breath also say they shouldn't cost 80. These things go hand in hand with everything. Money and time go with each other, if you need new assets that will take time to make. Which is also why AAA games are taking longer and longer to come out because these studios are focusing on this exactly.

Look, I've been on PS2 brain rot last 4 months, and honestly, I've been replaying Spyro, Jak, and Atlus' PS2 library; we need stylized, and or cartoony looking stuff again

I do think games shouldn't be going too expensive either, but consoles definitely are going to be because of the stupid AI shit going on and prices on tech going up

Like imagine a game like Spyro with a God of War budget

But it looked like Spyro

Itd be amazing.

But its also easier to say indie can do so much unique stuff but they can only do that when they have the money and time

For every silksong, there are like a 1000 that are just reusing stuff that's around just to make something worthwile
