See, I don't get he point of

multiple timelines. What's the idea here, they converge and Aerith and Zack get a happily ever after? You get the same outcome showing they are in the lifestream together and it fits in with FF7's overall set up regarding the Lifesttream

 

If that is what it ends up being then I hope it's done really well

Maybe they are pulling off a

KH4 Quadratum with the FF7R lifestream in this continuity

fanservice, plus, potential business opportunities

the fanservice is them counting on fans going "awwwww Zacky-Wacky is alive 😭😭😭😭 yaaay" and then, they'll take time, listen to feedback, and then maybe down the line a 'crossover' happens, and maybe the timeliness merge or intersect, to set up the finale in some way

 

 

or its an elaborate attempt to just set up multiple playable characters lol idk

 

That or they are reusing assets from FF13 trilogy timeline alterations

if you have Zack in the lifestream in complete denial that he died and think he's looking for Aerith. It would also explain why we don't see Cloud with him in Intergrade and why he still has the Buster Sword on him

 

FF13 was pretty much made in 7's shadow lol so it makes sense

Man I really want to try out the FF13 trilogy, I hope they remaster them soon. I tried Lightning Returns but I didn't enjoy it as much, feels like it would be better played with the first two

FF13-2 felt like the better of the 3 but yeah, Lightning Returns can be a letdown but it has its moments

FF7R2's idea is Rebirth and also "fact or fiction" which would fit in well on ending it at

Northern Crater|| That way you can add ||Zack scenes in the Lifestream making it look like he's alive and Cloud's firetrucked up memories which would be the fiction part. Then end in Northern Crater where it's revealed his memories are fabircated thanks to all he went through and Zack really is dead which is the fact part

 

 

Could also have the final boss be mind controlled Cloud who is trying to give the Black Materia to Sephiroth for his and the Weapons awakening, which would be the focus in Part 3

 

There's 4 theories I've seen about 7R Sephiroth, 2 valid, 2 whacky but I love them for it
