Happy Holidays Everyone!

In an attempt to spread around the Christmas or Holiday Cheer around, we're going to try to host a Secret Santa!

"What is a "Secret Santa?"

Members will gather together and once a descent amount of participants have joined, each will be given a task of creating a present for the Holidays for a lucky member!

 

Rules and Basic Info:

- We will have any number of members sign up via this thread.

- Each participant will receive another member's name of which they will create anything for that said person. It can be a video, fan-art, or graphics. Whatever you want to do!

- The person who you will create a gift for will be picked via random name generator/picker.

- SIGNING UP MEANS YOU'RE WILLING TO CREATE SOMETHING THOUGHTFUL REGARDLESS OF THE PERSON. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THIS FACT, DO NOT JOIN.

- You do not choose whom you will give to or receive from.

- If you do not like who was picked for you, tough luck. You signed up for this. It's up to you to stick to the commitment. Everyone else might get someone they weren't wanting to create something for but they'll still push through to bring the Christmas Cheer to everyone! You can do the same.

- Gifts can be KH-Related, but they aren't strictly just Kingdom Hearts. Look into the person's interests, take the time to get to know what they like!!!

- You will not be told who your Secret Santa is until you receive their gift! That's how it goes.

-This will ONLY, and I mean ONLY be for those who participate. Do not expect to receive a gift if you do not wish to take the time to make one. This is about giving, not receiving.

- When you receive your gift, be considerate of the person who gave it to you!!! They took the time and effort to make something for you, the least you can do is offer them a big thank you back.

- In relation to the last point, don't just make something in five minutes PLEASE! D; Others will be giving out the effort to create wonderful pieces of art, the least you could do is the same for your Secret Pal. It's understood members skills are at different levels, but it IS noticeable when you don't give out your effort.

- If you READ and AGREE with all of this, say "Sign Me Up!" at the end of your post. So I know you read it. ;3

- In the end, remember! It's the thought that counts.

- The "Due Date" is no later than, of course, Christmas! However if you are late by a day or two, it should be fine. ;3 The holidays are a busy time we all understand!

- If you're unsure, it's okay to sign up for now but when I start drawing the names of each person's secret santa's I'll PM to remind you.

- If you need help for ideas, feel free to PM me or another person taking part in this!!!

Once again, it might not be clear in the rules. I understand the holidays are a tad busy for everyone. If you must, your gift can be late. I'm sure those who'll receive your gift will (or at least should) understand the reasons for it being a day or two late.

 

But I'll give this one more day or so to let others see it if they want to sign up. Then I'll get this thing started and start drawing the names of the Secret Santas.

 

I'll put anyone who wants to be on as a "maybe" on for now but when the time comes for me to start drawing the names I'll remind anyone who is a "maybe" once again, and they can tell me further.

 

It's also best to have a few ideas in mind for anyone doing this before you even get the name of the person you will be making a gift for. Do something to your strengths, and even though it's not restricted to only Kingdom Hearts, that IS a good handicap for those who are tight on ideas. You can personalize it later and what not. This helps since there is a little bit of a time crunch. As for another idea, you can keep to the Christmas/Holiday theme and have a few song ideas (if you're an amv'er) or maybe for an artist have a few sketch ideas handy that you can pick from when you receive the name of the person who you will be making a gift for.

 

If anyone has any basic ideas they would LIKE to share, they are more than welcome to help others brainstorm when we get going.
