The global version of Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] has been updated with the final quest and concluding story scenes. This story update was dropped without warning, with the only recent tweet from the North American Twitter account announcing jewel distribution after emergency maintenance. 

The Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] updated with the finale over a week ago, on May 31st.

I thought this update was supposed to unlock all the cutscenes in theater mode...

We finally got an in-game notice that mentions the final story update for KHUx.

No, that's Version 4.4.0, which won't be available until later this month. This is only the story update.
