I believe that Ventus is better because he is more fun and has an easier story.

Who ever told you Terra had bad defence is either an idot of the highest level, doesn't know how to play a kingdom hearts game(in which case they should be shunned from society), or both. He has the highest attack, defence, and HP to start with. He's the best choice to use as your first character in the game, especially if you haven't played a KH game before, or if you're not too sure you'll be any good with the controls.

I played the stories in the order T N advised us to, and if you play it on Standard Mode, you should be able to get through any of the stories fine, but if you want to understand the game's overall story, then play Terra first, Ven second, and Aqua third.

Yes, his defense isn.t really the greatest, but his attack power gives enemies good amount of damage, which makes up for that.

^ This. Nomura may have said that Aqua's the main character (in the hero sense), Terra's the main character regarding the plot. The game pretty much revolves around him, especially considering that Ven and Aqua spend most of their time looking for Terra or trying to find out what he's been doing. Also, his name comes first in the main credits for the VAs

Play Terra 1st

I would go with Terra first mostly since he's a powerhouse and with him you can learn the controls and all that. After him if you want to go with prolonging how things come together in the story, then I suggest Aqua 2nd and then Ven third. Ven has the best moves and story (in my opinion), so I highly recommend Ven last. But if you can't decide go with Nomura's plan to understand the story and play Terra, then Ven, then finally Aqua. Hope you enjoy the story nonetheless.

fool. *reading both guide book and stradegy guide* Hey idiot! It doesn't say anything like that. All it says, that's related, is Terra may be good for beginners. If your going to insult multiple people about being wrong, do your homework first.

ive been thinking i could play terra first...... well ill play terra first.

I play all three of them together, and I'm gonna guess that Terra and Aqua are jealous of Ven since I play as him the most <3 Ven's really fun to use, and I love his command styles (Wing Blade kills EVERYTHING HAHAHAHAHA <3)

PS: Play on Proud Mode (Or critical if you have it) and everything is much more fun

Terra, Ven, and Aqua is recommended, but it is your choice. If you're going to narrow it down between Ventus and Aqua, then use Ventus because Ventus has a much more easier, and a more interesting story plot than Aqua.

I'm not sure but i did ven 1st terra 2nd and aqua 3rd oh and people if you want to understand the story it doesn't really matter evrything happens at the same time. Here's why you should choose the following. Ventus: he has quick attacks, he also has glide, and he has an awesome last battle against vanitas. Terra: he has high attack power and he has the continued slide and air slide. Aqua: her story is easiest.
