So the title of the game implies that this should be the final game to fill in the remaining gap of the kh timeline

It takes place between UX and dr

And presumably, DR will go straight into BBS, probably

Once this is out of the way it should hopefully make things easier for newcomers

I'm just a bit afraid that it may connect to kh4

Seeing as MoM is there and all

I have a feeling that it'll connect in the same way that UX did for KH3

In that case, release order will still be superior

There's really no other way to play the games

idk. i still agree that xehanort in kh3 felt unearned

Release order is basically always the optimal was to play/view,

Probably, there's never really been a reason to play besides release order and I doubt missing link will change that

It’s like the MCU to me. I get why you might watch them in canon chronological order for fun, but I would never recommend that to someone starting fresh. You start that journey with Iron Man 1, just like you start this with Kingdom Hearts 1.

I've been brainstorming a bit about what you could cut out, but otherwise I agree

maybe thats y i still dont like 2 all that much

actually i played recoded before 2 as a child as well

maybe thats y i still dont like 2 all that much

Yeah I also did days before 2 since I personally think it makes the prologue more impactful but I know many people are adamant about KH2 before days

i think the confusion helps the prologue

but also loving roxas helps the prologue

Oh yeah sorry

I’ve been bingeing trailer reaction videos (they feed my soul) and the number of people who were like “yo wait who is this??” when Strelitzia showed up in the KH4 trailer and Brain in the ML trailer was very telling how so many otherwise dedicated fans just completely skipped UX.

So yeah, I don’t care what kind of gacha elements or filler they throw into Missing Link; you best believe I’m gonna be in there day 1.

I’ve been playing since 2003 and completely skipped that game. Not about Mobile games or that type of game at all

Missing Link does look good tho. I wish theyd port it to consoles

Wouldn't be surprised if we got a switch port

I mean, there were so many reasons to skip it. Mobile, gacha, slow-burn, “kiddie” graphics, no Sora… I’ve seen these reasons and so many more why UX just didn’t appeal to a lot of players. And I don’t blame them for giving it a pass honestly!

But having kept up with UX over the years it was active made for so many exciting moments in the community like Ven, Laurium, and Elrena, the Strelitzia factor, the Keyblade War… the game really has some banger moments.

It seemed like a super interesting story tho. I wish they made it into a console game. Even using KH1&2 model thpes
