both my gf and me don't own a tv it's hilarious. we are both pc gamers and never owned a tv because we don't watch TV

and you can watch most of our shit on the Ipad

while being in bed

I do have a Samsung odyssey oled g9 for the pc

I am probably getting a tv when I get my own place but right now a monitor is more than enough

i have an old roku tv for my office, its really only used for netflix on the couch or party games

I moved my PS5 to my room so I can play Crisis Core at my desk but I think I might move it back into the living room for my Remake playthrough and Rebirth

Oleds do work to make it look better

If your on a standard "4k" led tv then you'll see it not do as much

Q-LED and 8K is the way of the future but it won't be worth buying til about late 2026 probably tbh

A lot of tvs that are 8k are also getting banned cause of power consumption

I doubt 8K will ever be anything mainstream, OLED is is gonna become mainstream by the end of the decade I bet and replace LCD

It will and thank goodness for it

especially since 4k is still a niche market

People still good with 1080p and 2k

theres no reason why tv and monitor manufactures need to support 8k longterm

its just gonna be a gimmick
