We try to avoid this talk I know but people thought Forspoken was gonna be some quote "woke SJW schlock" when really it was just a mid open world game with questionable graphics and decent controls

It had interesting ideas but the overall execution just wasn't there for people to care

It was just FF15 with magic combat instead of melee

16 smashed when it came out, Japan loves it, America loves it-- I've said this before but this is the best period Square has been in in years shit probably since the initial PS2 years man

New Mana game, Octopath is killing it, KH matters and is selling, FF7 is talked about everywhere, they even brought back Valkyrie Chronicles and keep making Star Ocean

The contracts for 16 and remake are like 2015 - 2017 which during that time exclusivity was still a major selling point, unfortunately that's gonna be the case for part 3 so PS only again for a bit

But rather that forspoken was so bad

I don't think it did that, all I meant to say was Forspoken wasn't that bad of a game but it got a negative reputation going into it

Besides it's not like Forspoken tanked the company

Tbf unless u know the ins and outs of how they spent their budget

It's hard to really determine the state of their finances
